Chico Jofilsan's journey into animation began with his childhood habit of imagining his drawings in motion. After earning a degree in graphic design from Puc-Rio University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he gained extensive experience working for broadcast networks, honing his ability to transform ideas into animated stories. His passion for animation and storytelling naturally led him to become a director. With a multidisciplinary, hands-on approach to art direction, Chico combines live-action, stop motion, 2D, and 3D animation, infusing each project with his unique visual signature while exploring diverse animation and cinematography techniques. Currently residing in Uruguay, Chico directs films for markets across Brazil, the USA, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and China.
